Project Terrapin: "Learning more through research"

Marine Academy students have been learning and contributing to diamondback terrapin conservation and wildlife practices through an exciting, hands-on project at Barnegat Bay. Students have been working in the field, developing lessons, and caring for terrapins. This work is in conjunction with Drexel University and is being conducted on NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife property in the Sedge Island Wildlife Management Area. It is also being supported by Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A, Inc. and Exelon Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station.
