The Senior Structures Learning Experience
SLE Requirements:
To participate in SLE, students must be in good academic standing. Students will be placed and selected for SLE based upon the students' interest and past assessments of performance in certain areas (i.e. outreach, critical thinking challenges, volunteering). It is not a mandatory program, but the benefits of networking and gaining experience in the field in invaluable.
All students must present an updated resume to a potential SLE provider. All students must arrange their own transportation and must maintain contact with the SLE provider.

A journal book to detail the experiences
Completion a written report (some providers require a presentation)

2012 Structured Learning Experience (SLE) School-Based Document for Student to Obtain Signatures in Progression.... 1) If your SLE is with a Federal, State, or Local Public Agency (i.e., Park, MUA, etc...) or with a not-for-profit organization (i.e., SBB, etc...)
2) If your SLE is with a corporation or firm including Animal Care Clinics, Health Care, Aquariums that are private or include research (i.e., Jenkinson's, NAVAIR, Bayview Animal Hospital, Children's Specialized Hospital, etc...)
