Welcome to Performing Arts Academy's Biology Page. My name is Christine Santasieri.

I teach sophomore level Biology and Honors Biology. Before entering the world of education I worked as a dental assistant, a laboratory technician for UMDNJ, and represnentative for a health insurance company. I majored in biology as an undergaduate student at Kean University. Upon completion in 2001, I began working for OCVTS with the at-risk student population. Wanting to make more of an impact on students, I began stuyding Education Administration at Kean University. During those studies I researched the most effective teahing strategies used and education and began integrating them into my classroom.

It is my belief that each student is his/her own person and has his/her own learning style. Because of this, I teach using a variety of teaching strategies such as: cooperative learning, presentations (audio, visual, and kinesthetic), handouts, essays, laboratories, etc. It is my job as an educator to provide students wiith an exdellent education. Additionally, I wish to foster my students appreciation for the differences among them and help them to become self-thinker
