Ocean County– Several OCVTS staff members were recognized at last week’s Board of Education meeting for their outstanding commitment to SkillsUSA.
Toms River Center Principal Craig Coleman; Consumer Office Support Services Instructor Betty Walford-Coleman; Automotive & Diesel Engine Technology Instructor Jerry Salvatore; and Student Services Aide, Gert Silsby were presented with plaques for the tremendous contributions they make to the planning and coordination of the regional SkillsUSA competition, which was held at the Brick Center on February 2nd.
They, along with many other OCVTS staff members volunteer many hours throughout the year to ensure the growth and success of the SkillsUSA program in our district.
Craig Coleman, presented an overview the day’s events, listing the different areas of competition and recognizing the many staff members who contributed their time and talents. He noted that the event has grown each year and that the success of the day is due to the continued support from throughout the district.
