Never Too Early To Plan For The Future
Jean Sullivan, April 24, 2009
OCEAN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY- Students from ten different OCVTS programs visited Central Regional High School, Berkeley Township, NJ, last week as part of a Career Day, coordinated by OCVTS Admissions Representative Nicole Schumm.
The programs which were represented were: Automotive Technology; Audio for Electronic Media; Welding; Culinary Arts; Health & Fitness Technology; Law and Public Safety; Aviation Aerospace Technology; Marine Trades; Motorsports Technology; and Graphic Design Technology. Each program displayed tools or equipment used in the classrooms and student representatives were on hand to answer questions. Some programs provided skills demonstrations or showed slide presentations of projects.
It was a nice mix of programs featuring something from each of the career areas we offer. Large groups of Central Regional students visited throughout the day.Even if they are not sure of what they want to do later on, they walked away with information they can use,” concluded Ms. Schumm.
