Hair Cut-A-Thon is a Great Success!
Jean Sullivian, June 11, 2009
The Annual Hair Cut-A-Thon, hosted by the Ocean County Vocational Technical School (OCVTS) Cosmetology students was a great success thanks to the many local residents who waited their turn for a $3. haircut. The event was held at the OCVTS Brick Center on Chambers Bridge Road. In a four-hour timeframe students were able to provide 75 haircuts to young and old alike. “It’s for a good cause, it’s great experience for the students and they have so much fun while they’re doing it,” explained OCVTS Cosmetology Instructor and event coordinator Barbara Stewart. Proceeds from the haircut fees as well as many generous donations will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
