OCVTS Students Reap Profits In Stock Market Game

TOMSRIVER, NEW JERSEY Students from the Ocean County Vocational Technical School’s Computer Science Program, in Toms River, took first place in the 2010 New Jersey Stock Market GameTM, Southern NJ Region, outperforming 160 other high school teams.

OCEAN COUNTY, NEW JERSEY-Brittany Santos of Toms River, a 2008 graduate of the Ocean County Vocational Technical School’s Performing Arts Academy (PAA), was honored recently at the Rider University Founder’s Day ceremony. Brittany, a junior in the musical theater program at the Westminster College of the Arts at Rider University was one of only eight students recognized for her outstanding academic performance, placing in the top one percent of the student body.

Mates Students To Build Terrapin Hatchery

MANAHAWKIN, NEW JERSEY- Students from the Research Methods Class at the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science (MATES) are preparing to construct a terrapin hatchery at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts and Sciences in Loveladies. Over the past five decades the district has grown by leaps and bounds and now offers over thirty career programs at six campuses throughout the county.
