Technology Careers (2 years / 900 hours) |

The Information Technology Academy is
housed at the Toms River Center and is currently comprised
of four programs: A+ Certification, Network
Technology, Computer Service/Repair and Computer Science.
All classes are half day programs and are conducted
five days a week. A+ Certification, Network Technology,
and Computer Service/Repair are single year programs
while Computer Science encompasses two years. Students
who are considering enrolling in the academy must
take part in a one-day placement test and orientation
activity. Results will be used in conjunction with
school transcripts and an interest inventory to place
pupils in the program which provides the best opportunity
for success. Students who complete the Network Technology
and A+ Certification classes will be able to take
industry exams leading to professional certifications.
