Automotive Technology (Tech-Prep)

The student will be introduced to major concepts and theories of automotive maintenance, service and repairs on modern automobiles. This program is also evaluated by NATEF and certified by The National Institute for ASE. The following subjects are ASE approved: engine repair, engine performance, electrical/electronic systems, brakes, suspension and steering. Upon completion students are prepared to take ASE certification tests. This course will prepare students for the second stage of a 2+2 Tech Prep program in conjunction with Brookdale Community College and the Chrysler Apprenticeship Program.
