This program is a survey course designed to prepare students with a diversified computer background. The goal is to supply the necessary information needed to prepare students for the A+/ Net+ Certification or other related technology courses. The student will learn the theory of operation, assembly, and troubleshooting of the IBM PC clone. In addition, the course will include an introduction to computer LANs and networking. The course targets entry level skills leading to a career in the computer service market. Robotics studies are also included through the use of a student computer build kit.
