MATES Marine Biology, Biology, Environmental Science Instructor

Hello my name is Adam F Sprague. I am an instructor at the Marine Academy of Technology and Environmental Science. Being a descendant of early settlers to coastal New Jersey, I have also continued on the tradition of the “Bay Man” that my family has done for so many years. I am an avid fisherman, and have spent numerous days and nights stalking the back bays of New Jersey in search of elusive marine life. In addition, prior to becoming a teacher I worked in the aquaculture field growing shrimp and clams. I currently have a B.S. degree in Marine Biology with a minor in Marine Resource Mangaement and Masters Degree in Environmental Education. I developed this site in hope to:

1. Meet needs of changing subject matter; make information available instantly.
2. Provide easy access to a vast array of educational resources.
3 . Combine advantages of other kinds of media (images, animations, sounds, video)
4.Appeal to student visual and interactive learning modes.
