
Mr. Michael
R. Clarke achieved his Master of Science in Computer Science in 1986 from the
New Jersey Institute of Technology in Newark, NJ. He worked for the US Air Force
where he was in charge of 24-hour/7-days-a-week operations for a computer center
with 48 people working for him. He supervised computer technology for an international
firm specializing in importing brand-name Italian leather goods to the United
States. He worked as a senior systems analyst programming specialized EDI computer
programs.
He has programmed in BASIC, COBOL, COGNOS, and SuperScript on PCs, IBM System-36, IBM AS400, HP3000, and HP9000 running DOS, Windows, MVS, MSX, and HP-UX.
In the education field, Mr. Clarke has taught part-time college-level computer courses since 1984. These ranged from introduction to computers to upper-level database design courses. His programming courses have included COBOL, BASIC, Pascal, and C++. He has taught at NJIT, University of Maryland, Overseas (Germany), Eastern New Mexico University, Clovis, NM, Passaic County Community College, Patterson, NJ, and Brookdale College, Lincroft, NJ.
