Internet Ethics WebQuest - Introduction

Ethics are an important aspect of the internet that is often overlooked in the classroom. The ease with which people are able to copy & paste things found on the internet & use for their own purposes have made the ethical considerations of copyrights & property rights easy to overlook. The impersonal nature of online interactions allow us to slip into complacent inconsideration of other people's time & sensibility. We all have a responsibility to point out to others that their cyberspace interactions have consequences for others & themselves beyond the computer screen that they are looking at the time.

This WebQuest will explore the considerations that one should take whe working in cyberspace. Computer ethics, internet etiquette, & copyright issues are the three topics that we will explore in the next few hours. To begin the Internet Ethics WebQuest click on the Introduction link on the right.
