Throughout this 2-year course, students will learn the basic fundamentals of construction, as well as touching on more in-depth topics such as blueprint reading, framing, concrete block construction, roofing, sheathing, siding, drywall applications, door and window installation, interior finishes, and much more. The theory of installation, trim work, and finished ceilings and floors are also explored. As a county vocational school, there are also a variety of local community service opportunities that students may engage in as well. Students are also exposed to various local companies and industry professionals, with some companies offering apprenticeship opportunities, as well as colleges and technical institutes for continuing education. With speed, safety, and true hands-on experience, we train our students to be the best they can be in order to be well-educated and skilled tradesmen.
