HEATING VENTILATING AIR CONDITIONING & REFRIGERATION (HVAC-R)

YEAR 1 HVAC/Mechanical Services Technology (450 hrs) This program incorporates practical hands-on training, and operating theory of today’s modern heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment. Students will learn the skills necessary to be able to service, repair and install these systems, making them marketable and career ready in the mechanical trades. This course will include industry safety standards, electrical schematic diagrams, control wiring, system troubleshooting and basic piping concepts meeting industry standards.

YEAR 2 HVAC/Refrigeration (450 hrs) Students will learn basic concepts necessary to install, repair and maintain heating air conditioning on both residential and commercial refrigeration equipment. Building code, basic theory and operation of mechanical components, along with electrical controls will also be covered. The Environmental Protection Agency Refrigerant Certification exam will be given upon course completion of the program.
