PLUMBING, PIPEFITTERS, STEAMFITTERS & FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS

Students will learn the hands-on skills necessary to assemble, maintain, and repair water, gas, and other piping systems used in homes, businesses, and industry. The course will prepare students for the diverse skill sets necessary to enter a career in residential, commercial, and/ or industrial plumbing fields. Students will learn to prepare cost estimates, read blueprints, follow state and local building codes, install/inspect/maintain/and troubleshoot piping systems. Qualified students may have the opportunity to job shadow or participate in other cooperative education opportunities with local plumbing contractors. Upon successful completion of this two-year program, students may receive advance standing in the OCVTS Adult Education Division Apprenticeship Program.
