Marine Academy of Technology & Environmental Science
MATES has been designed to provide its students with a rigorous academic curriculum with a concentration in the areas of math, science, and technology. MATES provides a unique and challenging hands-on learning experience. Extensive fieldwork, independent research, work-based learning experiences, and environmental affiliations offer students opportunities to explore numerous career fields.

Grunin Performing Arts Academy
GPAA offers an artistically distinctive and academically sound learning setting for students gifted in the performing arts and the technical aspects of art production. The academy offers its students curriculum that is specially designed with a concentration in dance, vocal music, theatre and audio engineering, while providing a rigorous academic program of study.
Academy of Law & Public Safety
ALPS offers a unique and comprehensive foundation of skills for Ocean County students interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement, public safety and homeland security. This full-time educational program provides a challenging, hands-on learning experience for college-bound and career-oriented students. Students receive a rigorous academic program, which meets New Jersey high school graduation requirements and prepares students for admission to competitive colleges and universities.

Academy admission information sessions provide an opportunity to see the facilities, speak with faculty, and receive an in-depth overview of the academy approach to learning. Academy info sessions are designed to help students and their families make informed decisions regarding an educational pathway that is in the best interest of each student. Students receive access to all admission materials, including application, at the information sessions.
WHY ATTEND?
OCVTS career academies are four-year public high schools administered by the Ocean County Vocational Technical School District. Students are selected through a competitive application process and enter at the ninth grade level. All school districts in Ocean County are eligible to submit applications for these programs.
