The mission of the Employment Opportunities Department is to recruit, employ, support and retain a diverse and highly qualified workforce, and serve our district partners in an efficient, responsive and courteous manner to achieve the educational goals of the Ocean County Vocational Technical School District.

NJ State Statute Requires all public employees be fingerprinted and obtain a Criminal Background Check.
NJ State Statute requires all personnel reside in the state of New Jersey.
Must hold a valid NJ Teaching License, Certificate of Eligibility or CEAS or a valid NJ State Substitute Certification
To obtain a Substitute Certification:
Must have a minimum of 4 years documented working experience in Trade Skill Area & for non-shop areas a minimum of 60 college credits

Applied Arts: Design & Visual Communication in Digital Reproduction, Multimedia & Photography, and Fashion Design & Merchandising.
Engineering/Computer & Design: Computer Science, Computer Service Repair, and Pre-Engineering Technology.
Construction Trades: Building Construction Technology, Custom Woodworking & Design, Electrical Trades, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning & Refrigeration (HVAC-R), Heavy Equipment Operator, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Plumbing, Pipefitters, Steamfitters & Fire Suppression Systems and Welding.
Health Technologies: Dental Assisting, Health & Fitness Technology, and Medical Assistant, Skills & Related Health Careers.
